Wii U Sees Huge Spike in Sales in Amazon UK After Xbox One Reveal

UK consumers seemed to be preferring Wii U. Sales of Wii U spiked 875% after Microsoft revealed the Xbox One. Wii U was previously listed as number 390 and now sits on number 40 of best selling items on Amazon UK. Now that all three consoles have been revealed it could be that UK gamers are preferring Wii U.

An increase of sales could continue as Nintendo is expected to reveal the first screenshots of Smash Brothers for 3DS and Wii U on June 11.

  2. Wow that's seriously sad. I'm smelling a repeat situation of the 3DS.

    1. Let's hope so! If it's anything like the 3DS we're looking at some great games!

  3. I must say, I thought xbox ONE a big let down, I was thinking it might blow me away and make me regret my Wii U purchase. I think if Sony or Nintendo market their offerings as a "pure" gaming console, they will be on to a winner. Still not happy games like next COD, last Tomb Raider etc are not on WiiU. If Nintendo can win back the 3rd party support, it'll start looking good. It's a great machine, but so far the only killer app is Lego City. Well done TT. Nintendos own titles have been a let down so far.

    1. Nintendo needs more than their first party titles to gain their audience back. I'm sure their testing out new IPs as well. Third party titles are important and if their exclusive even better. Most would say third party games are stripped down ports from Xbox and Sony versions. We'll finally be getting the news in a couple weeks!
